Vintage Love::Typewriters

I have the sweetest typewriter. I found him (yes,my typewriter is a He) at the Alameda Flea Market last year. He came in the loveliest brown leather case. Once I opened that case,I was speechless. My Royal typewriter was in PERFECT condition. Not one thing wrong with this bad boy,and it was love at first sight. $40.00 later and I owned one of my favorite pieces of all time. I use it mostly for decor,but I’ve definitely written Ascander a note or 2 on it. ;)

Typewriters make wonderful decorations whether sitting on a shelf at your house,or on full display at a party,there are so many options. I find typewriters very romantic. Ok,not the ones that secretaries used in the 50′s and 60′s (wellllll,maybe the ones in Mad Men) but the ones used by a boy who loved a girl at a college across town. He would write her love letters,white out the parts he messed up on,seal them and send them on their way. There was little room for error,so you had to really think out what you wanted to say. *sigh* I’m slightly a romantic,can you tell?

Do you own a vintage typewriter? Have you ever written someone a note on it? Not as easy as it looks huh? Take a look at these lovelies below,they are truly swoon worthy.
