I used to live in this sweet house in Indiana. It’s the house I lived in until I was 9 years old. It had lovely parquet wood floors, lots of windows,a swinging door that led in and out of the kitchen and beautiful glass doorknobs. I think glass knobs are so beautiful and really represent an era that has been gone for awhile. I’ve had glass doorknobs in several of my apartments here in the Bay area as well, and they add so much charm to the space. I love how they are coming back in style (wait, did they ever leave?) and you can pick them up not only at antique shops and flea markets, but even some stores are carrying them again. Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters are 2 for example.
You can also make unique coat hooks out of these vintage knobs. Or use them to hang towels on in the bathroom. There are so many cute options, what’s your favorite?

I love the shapes of these. They add such interest to a door.
This one reminds me of the ones in my house as a child. I love the edges.
These are blue! How fun.:)
1920′s glass knob. Isn’t the art deco style lock fun too?!
Don’t you love these knobs from Anthropologie? They have many styles and colors to choose from.
Urban Outfitters offers this really sweet glass doorknob hook. Hang jewelry or your purse on it. Get multiples ones and make a statement on your wall.
Or use them to hold your curtains back. The options are endless.:)

I love them too, they have so much character and charm.:) I definitely hope to use some one day to create a coat rack or for tying back curtains, they’d be great in a beach house.
I adore these!! I love the ones from anthro too but they are pricey,I may just crack and buy them!
