Tutorial Tuesday…Christmas Wrapping

As Christmas is quickly approaching,do you know how you are wrapping your presents?

To me,wrapping is the icing on the cake. It gets you ready for whatever lovely thing is inside the package. The wrapping should be just as sweet as the gift. It says “I took time to make this lovely for you.”I think that is special. What about you?

I love to add different shades of ribbon, paper doilies, acrons or ornaments. All of these small touches says quite a lot. I think you can make anything beautiful with just a little bit of imagination and some time.

Here are a few ideas to get your creative juices flowing:

-Pick up cute stamps at a hobby store and MAKE your own wrapping by stamping brown craft paper. Finish it off with a satin bow or some twine.

-Dip leaves in glue and glitter. Let dry and then attach them to your packages with bits of holly or acorns.

-Wrap your gifts in soft colors and tie with lace. Add paper doilies for a little extra interest.

-Create your own tags with cardstock and ribbon. You can also print neat designs offline and just cut them out.

- Recyle and reuse intersting bags shopping bags. They can be colorful or kraft paper, either way,you are being green and doing something interesting.

-Use french newspaper and tie with brightly colored ribbon in reds, teals, hot pinks or blues.

-I like to use kraft colored paper and pretty ribbons. It’s understated but also classy.

-Use a sewing pattern to wrap your present. Tie with some bakers twine (vintage patterns are even better:))

Check out these lovely packages!

However you wrap your gifts,as long as they are wrapped with love I’m sure they will be appreciated! It’s the thought that counts anyway, right?

xoxo Happy Tuesday
